Two Phase Separator SIM 3100

Model Description

The TSC Sim 3100 Two Phase Separator Simulation shows a vessel being fed a hydrocarbon mixture. Within the vessel the hydrocarbon mixture is allowed to split into its gas and liquid phases.

The model allows the user to monitor the feed, liquid and gas phase compositions, to learn about the effect of temperature, pressure and flow rate on the separation achieved.

The level of liquid in the vessel is controlled by varying the feed flow to the vessel.

The pressure in the vessel is controlled by varying the flow of the product gas.

The flow of product liquid is manually controlled using a hand valve.

The vessel also has an over pressure protection system including a pressure relief and blow down valve.
