Introducing the SIM 4800 Flue Gas Carbon Capture Simulation Model

We are excited to unveil the SIM 4800 Flue Gas Carbon Capture model, a new addition to our unit operations range and a pioneer in our renewable operations offering. This advanced simulation introduces the post-combustion carbon capture process, demonstrating how CO₂ is efficiently removed from a flue gas stream using an amine solution.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Process Simulation: The model details every stage of the carbon capture process, from CO₂ absorption in a packed bed absorber column to the regeneration and recycling of the amine solution.
  • Dynamic Operations: Users can shut down and restart the process, manage variable flue gas flow rates, and respond to process upsets including interacting with an Emergency Shutdown (ESD) system.
  • Educational Benefits: SIM 4800 provides an in-depth understanding of the economic viability of CO₂ capture, process optimisations like heat recovery, and interactions between different process columns, building upon fundamental principles of distillation.

This model not only supports traditional education and training but also aligns with our commitment to sustainability and renewable energy solutions.
